Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. The university is widely acknowledged for starting the modern scientific study of children's eyewitness memory, as well as the use of children's victims as witnesses in legal contexts. Professor Goodman has published widely she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with several international and national awards. She has worked with numerous governments and agencies throughout the globe regarding policies as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She works as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional groups, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman was the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family the Practice and Policy.
